Dysport in Buffalo, NY

Dysport is a cosmetic injectable which was recently approved for use in the United States to treat dynamic facial wrinkles, such as crow’s feet and forehead or frown lines, which occur as a result of facial expression. The solution was developed as a competitor to the highly popular Botox product, and offers similar – and perhaps superior – results.

Like Botox, Dysport is derived from botulinum toxin which, when injected into muscle tissue, prevents nerve signals from “telling” the muscles to contract. As a result, the lines and wrinkles that would normally form when muscles contract no longer occur.

Dysport treatment is performed as an outpatient procedure, usually taking from 15 to 30 minutes to complete and requiring, in most cases, from 3 to 5 injections per area to achieve satisfactory results. There is no real downtime associated with Dysport treatment, although some men and women may experience slight redness or swelling in the injection area after treatment. These side effects are temporary, and usually resolve within an hour or two following treatment.

The cost of Dysport will vary based on the number of injections you require and the number of areas being treated, usually ranging from $300 to $500 per treatment session.
